What's in season in August 2022, and other timely information:
August brings with it cold weather winter crops, like kale, spinach,
some lettuces, peas, kale, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower,
leeks and early onions,
and from southern areas, like Florida and southern Texas,
strawberries, oranges, sumatras, grapefruit.

State highway 21 East for about 4.5 miles from stoplight at
Covington fire station. Turn right onto State highway 59 toward
Abita Springs and go about 1/2 miles (Look for our U-Pick sign
on the left). Turn left just before the fire station (gravel
road). Ridemore Ranch is about one quarter mile on the right.

ripe fruit on other days; At the same time, we have sweet corn,
onions and other veggies fro you to pick; We are also planning a
pumpkin patch for the fall, so call in October to see what is
available. We use natural practices, but are not seeking organic

farm located on the North Shore, providing an enjoyable place to
get away to and enjoy the fun of picking your own fresh berries
