Markets offering organic or sustainably grown produce are identified by the words "organic" and/or "sustainable" in Green, next to their name. What's in season in October 2017, and other timely information:

October brings with it the Fall harvest of many crops, from apples to many vegetables, and the ability to buy locally, soon col weather crops, like spinach, some lettuces, peas, kale, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, leeks and early onions,  plus fresh winter squash, pumpkins and moren.

Clark County

Directions: From I-5, I-205 or Padden Highway take 78th Street westbound through Hazel Dell to the end which intersects with LakeShore Drive/36th Avenue. Turn right/northbound onto LakeShore Drive/36th Avenue and continue approximately 2 miles to 119th Street. Turn left/westbound at the light at 119th Street and follow for 2 blocks. Open: We are a very small farm so please call ahead after 9 am to schedule a time to come out and for produce availability. Depending on weather, most of our vegetable crops will be completed by the end of October, however, special order Fall/Thanksgiving/Christmas table arrangements will be available through the end of the year as well as specialty/personalized holiday wreaths. We use natural practices, but are not yet certified Organic. Payment: Cash, only. 2008 was our first year and 2009 should bring a much larger variety of fruits and vegetables lasting into the winter months! We currently specialize in Heirloom Tomatoes with 42 different varieties from clusters of cherry sized up to 2 pounders. This year the tomatoes are not u-pick but we are happy to let you point out what you want while we pick them for you. Eggs produced daily by our happy, singing chickens, which are supplemented with flax seed for Omega 3 enhanced eggs, are collected three times a day for optimum freshness.
