What's in season in March 2017, and other
March brings with it Spring and the ability to buy
locally, especially in the deep South where fresh strawberries are available in
Florida and Texas, followed by California. Cold weather crops, like spinach,
some lettuces, peas, kale, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, leeks and
early onions being harvested in all but the colder regions. Many markets still
have fresh winter squash, stored from last Autumn.

Hayrides are available anytime of the year through the orchard.
The wagons can stop at the lake where you can picnic and roast
hot dogs in a bonfire. Take a tour though the orchard, vegetable
garden, berries and pumpkin patch. Watch us demonstrate how to
make cider in an old-fashioned press. You can help pick the
apples, turn the crank and taste the cider that comes out.
