October brings with it the Fall harvest of many crops, from apples to many vegetables, and the ability to buy locally, soon col weather crops, like spinach, some lettuces, peas, kale, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, leeks and early onions,  plus fresh winter squash, pumpkins and more.

Hancock County

  • Peaked Mountain Farm - farm stand, wild blueberries

A great family activity. Located 5 miles from Holden Center. Take Upper Dedham Rd from Rte 1A. Turn left on Balt Mt. Road. Farm is on Ellery's Lane on right. Open: our annual harvest (late July to mid-August) at the present.  Handicapped Accessible. Restrooms available. Bus parking.
