What's in season in January 2019, and other timely information:
January brings with it the Fall harvest of many crops, from
apples to many vegetables, and the ability to buy
locally, soon col weather crops, like spinach,
some lettuces, peas, kale, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, leeks and
early onions, plus fresh winter squash, pumpkins and more.

otherwise, cash is good. Several but not ALL of the vendors

home-grown, or small-farm/family operations. Products range from
raw produce to finished products, canned, dried,
add-water-soup-kits, cheeses, breads, cakes, leather, cloth or
other craft-wares, soaps, gifts, etc. There are always several
vendors offering food, snacks, drinks to consume on-site under a
couple different covered areas with tables/benches. Live music

Vendors occupy no less than 2 and as many as 4 covered
pavillions depending on the Saturday. I never made it to the
Tuesday evening markets so I can't comment on those. I look
forward to the fall markets. I hope to be able to tour at least
one of the farms someday--I think a couple of them offer tours,
CSA, and/or PYO.. Not sure if we have any Arkansas or Oklahoma
farmers. If I manage to try one in particular I'll let you
